Vineyard:
1.8 ha. including 1 ha. planted in 1951 and 0.8 ha. planted in 2008, 2016 and 2017. Vines come from lieu-dit Les Labourons and the name Les Rangs Tard is because grapes are usually late-ripened. Planted over deep decomposed granite soils at 350m altitude.
Viticulture:
Organic (certified Ecocert). Gobelet training and double cordon de Royat pruning. Density of 8000-10,000 vines/ha.
WineMaking:
100% whole cluster. Fermented over ambient yeasts for 2-4 weeks with semi-carbonic maceration in concrete tanks. 2 pump-overs per day.
Aging:
Aged for 8 months in concrete tanks. Complete malolactic conversion.
Bottling:
Neither fined nor filtered. Approx. 30 mg/L total SO2.
