2.90 ha. planted from 1980 to 2008. Hundsrück lies on the eastern end of the Bürgstadt Berg. It is a steep (40% incline), convex slope that faces directly south. The subsoil is comprised of friable, degraded layers of iron-rich red rock. The topsoil is shallow and gravelly.
